About Atco Inc.

Atco, Inc. is a work training center for adults with developmental disabilities located in Athens, Ohio in the beautiful Appalachian foothills. Atco assists individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities to picture their potentials. This is accomplished through vocational training and employment (such as our pen business), awareness and life skills training, art, music, various therapies and a variety of community-based activities. Families, friends and other community members come together in this process.

Of particular interest and a source of great excitement is the Passion Works Studio, a new, award-winning program providing experience and opportunities in the arts for individuals with developmental disabilities. Funded in part through the Ohio Arts Council, this program brings visiting artists to the facility to work on art projects with our enrollees.
